The 2013 Paul Mitchell Gathering closed with a spectacular finale which combined everything from punky pensioners to talented teens.
Showcasing just how far education can take you, the show opened with an inspiring segment by the Paul Mitchell Future Professionals; students who are set to be the stars of the future if their colourful and creative show is anything to go by.

Shows from the Paul Mitchell A-team - Angus Mitchell, Takashi, Stephanie Kocielski, Linda Yodice and Lucie Daughty followed, with sleek updos to showcase the glamour of Awapuhi, stilt-walking transformations and impactful colour to reaffirm the wealth of possibilities available with
Shines XG.
There was also hairdressing magic from Robert Cromeans, who demonstrated the perfect blend of showmanship and skill - using his trademark hat as a guide to cut a head of magenta curls and cracking open a model's faux skull to pull out an exaggerated mohawk. Artistry at its avant-garde best.

But it was a stunning showcase of glamorous grannies that really celebrated the Paul Mitchell message of I'mPossible. Presented entirely in silhouette, it wasn't until the house lights came up that the audience saw the seven stunning models with spectacularly vibrant colour were, in fact, pensioners.
"It's crazy," explained Robert. "But with a purpose." And that purpose? To entertain, educate and, most importantly, inspire.
