As he is the guru of all things male grooming, I thought it would be interesting to ask top blogger Jim Chapman for his take on the hairdressing world - who better to give the male client's perspective?

QUESTION: Jim, what would make you visit a particular salon?

Jim says...

"For me, it's usually word of mouth. I've been into a few salons that look really cool and charge a lot of money but don't necessarily deliver exactly what I'm looking for.

I found my current salon and stylist through my best friend when admiring his recently trimmed 'do' and was in the market for a new hairdresser (my previous one had given me what he thought I wanted rather that I had actually asked for). I've been using him for months now, he knows what I like and even suggests things that would make good hair-y type YouTube vids... Which makes my job easier!"
