Antionette beenders wows at her power night

Antoinette Beenders, Aveda vice president creative, put on a spectacular show for The Fellowship for British Hairdressing in her Power Night at The Cumberland Hotel, London.

After an insight into her hairdressing philosophy and sharing her hairdressing highlights through the years; Antoinette presented five stunning models that were all very different and each truly inspirational both in colour and technique!

Model 1: The 'back-slash' cut which showed hair back combed then cut to produce a jagged textured edge, Antoinette explained that more backcombing created a longer look This unique hair cut was a huge hit with the audience!

Model 2:  A stunning, light blonde bob created with colour from Aveda Colourist, Bruno Elorrioroz. This classic look was complemented with a  beautiful make-up featuring sensuous, glossy red lips - Antoinette's prediction for Summer 2009! - and completed it with stick-on black pom-poms for that extra wow factor.

Model 3:  Antoinette demonstrated a weave cut showing short hair within a longer length. The finished look was created using a diffuser and was octopus like in shape with lengths left soft and messy with texture achieved using Aveda Pure Abundance Hair Potion.

Model 4: The next look was a stunning black vision in hair that used frizzing techniques. To achieve the style Antoinette had cut a heavy long fringe into straight hair. The sections down to the ear were styled flat and super glossy. The mid sections were figure-of-eight pin-set to create volume. The end sections were teased out in certain areas and brushed to give texture. 

Model 5: To complete this amazing collection Antoinette's final model featured clipping in pre-prepared orange hair pieces using recycled and reworked hairpieces from other shows. To achieve a dramatic and eco-friendly fashion statement the model wore a dress made from recycled issues of the Financial Times.
