Angelo seminara talks davines hair on stage 2014

Angelo Seminara will be headlining his first UK show in three years at Davines Hair on Stage, which will be taking place at the legendary Central Saint Martins college in London on 8 June. Here, Angelo, who is Davines artistic director, discusses what’s in store for guests at the event… Tell us about the looks you will be showcasing on stage at the Hair on Stage event in June? Hair on Stage is the first time I will be presenting in the UK since I took on the role of artistic director in 2011. I will be presenting a mix of commercial looks with some more artistic styles alongside showcases from both Allilon Education and Blue Tit. This UK gathering of hairdressers and creative minds gives us the chance to entertain our clients, inspire them, share new trends and creative executions and help them push their hairdressing skills and ideas. What do you enjoy about working in front of a live audience? I love to be able to share my passion and skills directly with the audience; to create looks that are commercial and avant garde to inspire and encourage fellow hairdressers. What fuels your creativity? I am curious by nature and I like to try and explore new things. I love beauty and beautiful things, but I can also get inspired by something not so beautiful. I like to collect, combine and experiment; just like a fashion designer. My main form of inspiration is nature, which surrounds us everywhere. What’s in the pipeline for you in your role as artistic director of Davines? International shows and continuing to create beautiful collections in collaboration with Davines to inspire both the trade and the consumer. I am also focusing on developing revolutionary colouring techniques that will become part of the future of hairdressing. I'm also very active in supporting Davines in the creation and development of new products to add to its ever-expanding portfolio. Alongside this, I will also continue working on beautiful editorial work and collaborating on prestigious campaigns and fashion exhibitions worldwide.
