Hairdresser Andrew Collinge is swapping his scissors for dancing shoes to raise money for a disability charity on Valentine's Day.
Andrew, who is a twice British Hairdresser of the Year at HJ's British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional and
chairman and creative director at Andrew Collinge Hairdressing will be joining his wife Liz to dance to the Sweetheart Waltz for charity. The
Hft national charity supports adults with learning difficulties and the couple were inspired to take on the challenge by Andrew's sister who receives support from the charity in Ellesmere Port.

Andrew is learning the steps of the Sweetheart Waltz with Liz ahead of the challenge on Valentine's Day, where the duo will have to take part in a 14-minute video of non-stop waltzing.
Andrew Collinge said: "We always like to support Hft – it's an amazing charity supporting amazing people but this year has been particularly difficult. It has been a huge change for those with learning disabilities – often a bit frightening and difficult to understand. Social distancing also means many activities have not been possible."
Andrew and Liz's challenge is part of the 1.4 challenge event where fundraisers are being asked to raise money by taking on activities based around the numbers 1 and 4, such as dancing for 14 minutes or making 14 Valentine's Day cards. All funds raised will go towards supporting people with learning disabilities to stay healthy and happy during the pandemic.
The couple have raised lots of money for various causes over the years
, including a hair salon in Bradford where people with learning disabilities can learn new skills and a Flintshire-based supported employment initiative. More recently, a gazebo project in Chesire and Merseyside that allows people supported by the Hft charity to meet safely with loves ones.
