Andrew collinge mentors the fame team 2015

Hairdressing guru Andrew Collinge is the latest industry icon to share his expertise with the FAME Team, who recently enjoyed a day of mentoring with the former British Hairdresser of the Year. Andrew hosted the four future stars at the beautifully bright Library Space in Battersea. Over the course of the day, the students learnt more about Andrew's hairdressing history and looked back over his wealth of award-winning photographic collections. He explained the ethos behind the Collinge family brand and Amelia, Lucy, Luke and Peter were excited to hear how Andrew had broken through on national television and how his collections won him HJ's British Hairdresser of the Year. In the afternoon, Andrew presented two models and the team were on hand to assist him - including finding out more about his innovative one-pin technique. Andrew says: "It was a privilege to spend a day with the FAME Team; they are such a great group of individuals. The atmosphere throughout the day was brilliant and they were all keen to absorb as much information as possible. The afternoon was more practical and the movement and dexterity they all demonstrated shows the talent they all have. I hope they have been able to develop their skills and knowledge and it really was a fantastic day." Peter Burkill from HOB said: "Spending the day with Andrew Collinge was amazing.
