Andrew barton talks registration on the one show

Andrew Barton appeared on BBC1's The One Show recently to fly the flag for state registration for hairdressers, in his role as ambassador for the Hairdressing Council.

Also joining in the debate were the show's presenters, Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley and guest, singer/actress Martine McCutcheon - all of whom expressed their surprise at non-regulation within the industry.

Commenting on his appearance, Andrew said: "This is a great platform to reach millions of viewers and to really get a ground-swell of support from both the consumer and the hairdresser - when both these groups are involved we will see the change we are hoping for, which is a massive increase in registration in order to give us a more powerful argument to take to government."
