American crew's face off finalists party

Men's hairdressing took centre stage in Manchester when American Crew hosted a high-octane awards evening to announce the finalists of Face Off, the national men's grooming black and white photographic competition.
Staged at venue The Point, the Face Off Finalists' Party showcased the best in men's grooming with a stunning hair fashion show before the 20 finalists, who have made it through to the next stage of the competition, were announced.
Hosted by American Crew brand manager Mark Shorrock, men's grooming icon Chris Foster and HJ Men editor Matthew Batham, this stylish event was attended by hairdressers from across the UK.
From the 20 finalists, three winners will be announced at a lunch at a top London venue in February.
Prizes include an all-expenses paid, four-night trip to LA and the opportunity to work on a professional photo shoot courtesy of American Crew.
Mark Shorrock says: "The aim of the competition is to recognise some of the UK's most talented up and coming stylists. The high level of interest and standard of entry for this year's Face Off reflect the value of entering this type of competition and have helped to establish it as a firm fixture in the hairdressing calendar. Our congratulations go to all the finalists and we look forward to announcing the three winners in the New Year."
The night also saw the presentation of the first HJ Men Editor's Choice Award which went to Daniel Rymer Robinson, of essensuals MEN, Billericay, Essex. You can see his image in the next issue of HJ Men out 3 February 2012.
