Alternative hair show kids party
This annual event takes families with a child suffering from Leukaemia on a short break in which the entire family can unwind and also, importantly, mix with other families who are going through the same stressful experience.
This year's group included identical twins. One of the twins is in remission from the disease, the other is clear. The fact that these two little girls have identical DNA is proving crucial in finding a cure for this blood cancer and this particular research is something which Alternative Hair is supporting.
Alternative Hair founder, Tony Rizzo, and his wife Maggie, International President, Anthony Mascolo and his wife Pat and children Joshua and Alex, and Honorary President, Joshua Galvin, all accompanied the group.
As well as enjoying rides in the park, the group had a wild evening at the Wild West Show and a special party organised by the hotel.
"This is a wonderful weekend" said Anthony Mascolo. "Pat and I and the kids have been going on the Alternative Hair Family Weekend for the last 4 years and it is an experience that is both heart-wrenching and rewarding.
"Tony has such a great love for all these people and his passion and commitment is very apparent."
