Alternative hair announces new executive vice president

Tony Rizzo, Founder of Alternative Hair, is pleased to announce the appointment of Allan Hogg as executive vice president. With the prospect of a second virtual Alternative Hair Show this year, Allan will support Tony on sponsorship and event organisation, as well as liaising with artistic teams and investigating new ways to fund-raise in the current difficult environment. Allan Hogg has had a long relationship with Alternative Hair, going back to the very first show in 1983. Since 2013 he has also worked with Tony Rizzo as vice president of Alternative Hair helping with the organisation of the International Visionary Award for which he has been the competition adjudicator, both at the initial judging stage and the final judging, that is normally held backstage on the night of the event. Allan has had a long and close relationship with both Tony Rizzo and Alternative Hair president, Anthony Mascolo. He began his hairdressing career in 1982 when he joined the original Sanrizz Salon in Brooke Street, Mayfair. After 4 years he left to continue his career with TONI&GUY where he became part of Anthony Mascolo’s Art Team.  In 1990 he opened his first of 8 TONI&GUY Franchises, and in 1995 won Southern Hairdresser of the Year in the British Hairdressing Awards. Allan has always worked closely with Anthony Mascolo and in 2005 he moved to TIGI where he ran the TIGI London Academy and became TIGI global education co-ordinator. When Anthony opened his Library Space in 2010, Allan took the role of manager of the space and events as well as working on The Anthony & Pat Charitable Foundation and Infringe Magazine.
