What is TIGI Inspirational Youth?
A six month programme which takes young hairdressers on a journey that encompasses hairdressing skills, presentation skills, photographic/session hair techniques, fashion knowledge, plus cutting and colouring. The team are filmed throughout, and constantly monitored to show their process. They develop as individuals, and as a team.
Who is it aimed at?
TIGI Inspirational Youth is aimed at young, fully-qualified hairdressers from 19-26 years old who want to push themselves creatively. Almost every team member has said the experience is 'life-changing'.
What opportunities does it offer?
It builds teams and gives all round mentorship in cutting, styling, colouring and session styling as well as presentation skills, artistic experiences, fashion exposure and knowledge, photo shoot and casting knowledge and ultimately how to do a hair show.
How can you join?
We'll be looking for the 2013 TIGI Inspirational Youth Team from January 2013. Entry will be by a completed questionnaire, video footage and images. It is planned that the 2013 Team will be joined at Salon International by a team from the USA and Germany to really make the Salon Live show something sensational.
