What is the F.A.M.E. Team?
The F.A.M.E. Team (or Fellowship Academy of Merit and Excellence )is an annual initiative that was created to nurture, encourage and promote an elite group of young, up-and-coming hairdressers in all aspects of the industry. Offering unsurpassed exposure and a platform for future stardom, the F.A.M.E. Team is the UK hairdressing industry's original independent launch platform for young stylists.

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing
What does it offer those taking part?
The F.A.M.E. Team enjoys a busy and fulfilling year which includes photoshoots, PR representation, work on shows and seminars and training and and mentoring from some of the biggest names in the business.
The 2012 team enjoyed trips to California and South Africa, where they presented on stage in front of an audience of thousands. Previous years have seen the team visit Australia, Monte Carlo and Paris for shows, seminars and shoots.
What's the judging process?
Potential team members must be nominated by Fellowship members before undertaking a rigorous selection process. Steps include photographic work, a test of the candidates' ability to recreate their photographs in a timed test, an indepth interview, a haircut, a long hair assessment and a two-minute live demonstration of their hairdressing skills onstage at Salon International.
Who can enter?
Fellowship Members under the age of 30.
