What is ghd Style Squad?

ghd Style Squad is a team of talented up-and-coming salon stylists who are ghd fans and support the brand in its consumer-facing events programme.

Who runs it?

Lorna Moore; ghd senior educator and ghd Style Squad mentor.

What does it offer to those taking part?

A chance for young stylists to be involved with and supported by ghd in meeting their ambition to become a rising star of the future. Includes training and mentoring from ghd creative directors, ambassadors and educators and an action-packed year of events including (in 2012) London Fashion Week, Malibutique and Vogue Night Out and Salon International.

Who can enter?

Any newly qualified stylist from across the UK and Ireland with a passion for fashion, education and ghd.

What is the judging process?

For 2012, entrants submited a LFW season-inspired moodboard and completed an online application saying why they thought they would be a perfect member of the ghd Style Squad.  Those shortlisted were invited to present their look live to a judging panel, which this year included ex-FAME team member Leah Walton.

Are there any well known former members?

2012 is its first year, so none as yet!  But this year's Style Squad members may have the chance to audition for ghd's art team.

How can you get involved?
