UK hairdressing is the best in the world, but it's not just about the top names and celebrity stylists. We find out more about one of hairdressing's rising stars to find out who inspires them.

Favourite celebrity hairstyle: I think Florence Welch has changed the way clients look at colour - she's made an impact on my colour sales, with more clients opting for copper and red tones. Lady Gaga has also made the impossible possible, bringing back sharper, edgier looks. My all time favourite is Sienna Miller's laidback look.

Best part of your job: I love making people feel good about themselves; there really is no better feeling. And, I'm always learning - it never gets boring.

In the next five years I want to... continue with more photographic work, build my hairdressing education and enter HJ's British Hairdressing Awards. I would love to make it in to the Hall of Fame one day.

Worst part of the job: Never having enough time. I am such a perfectionist that I like to take my time, and I'm always the last one working.

My inspiration comes from... Magazines and books. I love reading and getting lost inside a story, I like to work around a character's personality, and imagine how I would envisage them - then bring their hair to live.

If I wasn't a hairdresser I would be... Bored!
