Guido brought sophistication and sportiness to the Alexander Wang Spring/Summer 2015 runway, complementing the designer’s sleek collection.
The show: Alexander Wang Spring/Summer 2015
The hair team: Guido for Redken
The look: A twist on the classic low ponytail; very sleek, sporty-inspired and futuristic with contrasting wet and dry textures.
The inspiration: Futurism. "I created this sleek, sporty look by combing Hardwear 16 into the hair to achieve a super-glossy, almost silicone-like, head shape," explains Guido. "The ponytail was left dry and natural-looking."
The key product: Redken Hardwear 16 Super-Strong Sculpting Gel
Get the Look
1. Begin by sectioning dry hair into thirds.
2. Starting with the bottom section, apply a 10p-sized amount of Redken Hardwear 16 Super-Strong Sculpting Gel at the scalp. Using a fine-tooth comb, comb through toward the base of the head, pressing firmly against the scalp for a super-smooth look.
3. Repeat on the two remaining sections of hair, combing the top back into a sleek, low pony without combing any gel into the ponytail. Leave the tail natural to create contrasting textures.
4. Secure ponytail with an elastic at the base of the head and add a second elastic to create a thicker band with a sportier feel.
5. Thoroughly spray Diamond Oil High Shine Airy Mist all-over the hair for a very glossy, wet-looking finish.
