Alan d Hairdressing Education Brand Gets a Refresh

Alan d Hairdressing Education is celebrating over 30 years in business by refreshing their branding for the third time in its long and illustrious history. Think evolution not revolution for a company that continues to thrive by remaining relevant to the needs of UK hairdressing students and their employers.

Creative Director Edward Hemmings says: “We wanted to modernise the look of the logo to reflect the latest iteration of our company. So much has changed since the pandemic for both us and our students and employers. The logo refresh is just one expression of our vibrant outlook on the future of our industry. The change will still feel familiar but there was no negotiating on our pink ‘d’ or Alan’s name, as he remains an enormous part of the business and a recognisable voice at the end of the phone for so many salon owners.”

The rebrand also harmonises with Alan d’s move to new premises in Farringdon, London, joining LSBM, Urban Retreat, as well as FlavOUR, a health food café, and City Cycle Club, a cycle storage company. With the move comes a raft of innovative course concepts making Alan d a real hairdressing learning hub in the city of London.

Alan Hemmings says: “Life has moved on so much since our return from the pandemic and the changes in education have been monumental. Online education has been a game-changer but face to face learning remains essential to our craft and the industry. We encourage students and stylists to choose from brand-new skill specific courses like Skill Scan squarely aimed at employed stylists, the Finishing School where students can join a salon class working on models independently to build up their confidence, speed and skill, or the Presentation Skills and Column Building courses which are true revenue builders. While much has changed, we are grateful that our loyal and highly skilled team can cater for any type of learner.”
