What: Re-styling chart-topper Pixie Lott's locks
Where: hob salons, Camden
When: 27th July 2009
Why: Songstress of the moment Pixie Lott visited hob salons Camden to enjoy a total hair makeover. First HJ's 2008 British Colour Technician of the Year Christel Lundqvist gave Pixie an overall warm blonde colour applied with a darker hue of toffee brown through the underneath, then took her to a lighter, cooler palette of ivory and champagne blonde to draw attention to her dark brown eyes and complement her complexion. Next, it was Akin's turn to work his magic. He gave Pixie's long tresses a new lease of life by adding layers to give lots of texture and movement for a fresher feel and more on-trend style.
Akin says: 'Welcoming Pixie to hob salons was fantastic. A real rising star, she was lovely to work with and had a great vibe about her. As she wanted to keep her flowing tresses, we just worked with her natural movement and enhanced this with a beautiful blonde palette created by Christel.'
