Akin honoured with british masters award

Akin Konizi of
hob salons has received the prestigious 2008 British Masters Award at the
Australian Hair Fashion Awards.
The award, which recognises those who have achieved excellence in the hair fashion industry and are respected worldwide as leaders, entrepreneurs and masters of their craft, has previously been won by industry icons including Trevor Sorbie, Mark Hill, Errol Douglas and Beverly C.
Twice nominated for British Hairdresser of the Year (2006 & 2007) and winner of numerous titles including British Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year 2006/7, UK’s Most Wanted Fine Artist 2006/7 and the British Hairdressing Awards London Hairdresser of the Year 2005/6, Akin Konizi can now add this international award to his impressive list of accolades.
"I am honoured to be acknowledged by the Australian Fellowship and the AHFA’s in this unbelievable way," says Akin. "Being recognised by my peers on the other side of the world was mind-blowing!
Akin had previously judged the Australian Hair Fashion Awards in the UK in December 2007, and also presented the ultimate Australian Hairdresser of the Year award to Robert Bava of Parlour Hair (SA), on the awards night
He added: "I was staggered by the standard of work at the judging of the AHFA’s and would like to thank the team for providing such a wonderful platform to recognise the talents of so many brilliant hairdressers."
