The AIPP Awards 2014 saw their winners crowned live on stage at the Royal Albert Hall in London, with a presentation as part of the
Alternative Hair Show.
Each year the Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure (AIPP) invite hairdressers from across the globe to submit their photographic work in one of five categories, recognising Commercial, Avant-Garde, Photographic, Men's and Video work.
For 2014 the competition blew its record out of the water, with 561 entries submitted from 34 countries across the globe.
The AIPP, in association with the Alternative Hair Show, also presented the International Legend Award to the hair colorist Annie Humphreys for her outstanding work as international colour director for Sassoon and for her incalculable commitment to both professional hairdressing and education. An emotional Annie was presented with her award by Tony Rizzo, founder of the Alternative Hair Show, and Roberto Pissimiglia, president of the AIPP. She dedicated her award to the late, great
Renato Brunas - founder of Crazy Color and a close friend and colleague.
