Throughout the years James grew a reputation of luxury service which helped him become one of the most in demand salons in Birmingham and ultimately what led the department store to approach him for their city centre shopping mecca. Here the salon owner gives his tips for maintaining a successful business and growing at a steady pace. Slow and steady wins the race The jump from having one salon to three was very gradual and took place over 10 years. It was fundamental to my business growth to make sure each salon was operating smoothly and that my clientele was happy before I averted some attention to the next salon. Take your time and not rush the brand's growth. You need to make sure you have a stable and happy team before you start trying to expand.
