Stylists from Academy Hair salons in Surrey recently competed in an in-salon creative competition, with the theme of Vision.
Eight teams took part, each made up of a senior and junior stylist who had to create their take on a trend for Spring/Summer 2014.
Judged by Victor Pajak from Headquarters, Julie Allen from Jools PR and designer Elise Hammond, the competition saw dramatic presentations incorporating BMX riders, makeup worthy of a couture show and dramatic headpieces.

Meryl Thompson and her assistant Millie Horobin from Cobham won first place, Sacha Oakley and Sarah Biss from Cobham took second and Danilelle Knight and Sam Rubino came third.
Salon director, Salv Mule, said: "The idea for the evening was to give the team more confidence with presentation work; it was also great for education, motivation and inspiration. I was so proud, every one of them went into this with great enthusiasm and passion. The results and finished looks were just stunning and they all really enjoyed themselves too, so a great success all round."
