Guy Kremer recently celebrated the ruby anniversary of his Winchester salon with a ritzy knees-up, attended by some of hairdressing's biggest names.
Born and trained in French, Guy arrived in England 40 years years ago, enthusiastic to learn English and hone his hairdressing skills.
Captivated by the charm on Winchester, he never left - and this summer saw him celebrate four decades in his eponymous salon.
In keeping with the grandeur of the occasion, Guy put on a suitably extravagant bash for more than 100 guests, including close friends, loyal clients and plenty of business contacts from L'Oreal Professionnel and the trade press.
Amongst those hob-knobbing on the banks of the River Test were the hair elite - Trevor Sorbie,
Ann Herman and Alan Richardson - as well as designer Maria Grachvogel and sports presenter Dickie Davies.
Champagne flowed, food was plentiful - and as scrumptious as you'd expect from the French hairdresser - and a DJ kept the party going all night.
"I am still so fascinated by hair, I love transforming it and playing with all its possibilities," says Guy. "It’s so satisfying when a client turns to you with a smile and says ‘I love it’ – that’s the best reward I can receive."
Congratulations, Guy!
