A barbershop has opened in primark in manchester - here's the details Session hairdresser and entrepreneur Joe Mills has joined forces with Primark for his new venture, MILLS, in a bid to offer affordable hair in the high street giant’s stores. HJ visited the new store to find out more... Joe, who already owns The Lounge Soho and Joe and Co in London, has opened the 800 sq ft barbershop at the new Manchester Primark store with a menu consisting of cuts, wet shaves and facials. It will also host its own retail area with Redken Brews men’s hair products. HJ met the enthusiastic Manchester MILLS X Primark team (some of whom were from the Birmingham Primark barbershop) and found out more about collaborating with a high street behemoth. We also witnessed a mullet being cut by Liam Campbell (aka Liam the Barber) on one of the shop's first customers, proving that the 1980s trend is firmly back in vogue. Joe is working with the retailer to bring high-quality hairdressing to the masses. He says: “We are very excited about bringing this new brand to the high street, at a time when the high street is facing its own challenges. Our partnership with Primark ensures that everyone can access high-quality, first-class hairdressing and barbering in an innovative and fashion-forward environment. Whether it’s a beard trim or the latest trend-led haircut, our 800 sq ft space and highly-trained team makes MILLS x Primark the place for great cuts and service.”
