You never quite know what you will find when you wander around Salon International – from show-stopping giveaways to interpretive dances, these are the five things that stood out to Team HJ on day one.
- The British Hairdressers Awards 2021 finalists gallery
We finally caught an exclusive look at the gorgeous collections from this year’s finalists for HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards 2021 sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional. It’s an incredibly competitive year with the level of creativity going into these stunning looks at an all-time high. The only place you’ll find all of these images under one roof is at Salon International, so you don’t want to miss it!
- Mark Woolley’s Land Rover
That’s right – the Business Director of the Year himself remains one of the coolest guys in the industry and rolled his vehicle straight right onto the Salon International ground floor. You can check out the stand from the owner of Electric Space London (also crowned Innovation of the Year at this year’s BHBAs) which also boasts a pop-up juice bar. Head over to the stand to find out what offers they might be able to offer you.
- Surprise appearance from Mr. World
Artero pulled out all of the stops with an appearance from the one and only Mr. World on their stand, featured alongside demonstrations from Eric Way, who created a James Bond-inspired look, Kiri Constantinou, demonstrating edge and precision, and Gabriel Tenorio, who debuted a sharp look using Artero tools.
4. Live processing on the Colour Stage
For the first time ever, visitors were treated to the Colour Stage. Not only did we bring a new stage to the show, but the area included open prep areas so viewers could see the colour artists creating their magic live. From the application to the processing, nothing was behind bars – it was truly a case of access-all-areas!
5. Karoliina Saunders Show Performance
On the
HJ Stage, Karoliina Saunders demonstrated her alternative wig looks before her models treated the audience to a punk-inspired performance complete with can-can dancing and buckets of energy.
