Women aged 32 have the strictest beauty regime, according to research from teeth-whitening specialists, Blanx.
The survey revealed that those falling into that age group have the most thorough, regular and expensive beauty regimes in Britain.
The average British woman spends 41 minutes per day on her beauty regime - washing, brushing teeth, applying makeup and doing hair. However at age 32, that amount doubles to 82 minutes per day - with ten minutes of that time dedicated to hairstyling.
Women aged 32 also spend much more on their daily grooming regime than the national average. Generally women in the UK spend £150 per month on clothes, make-up and lotions and potions to look their best, the research reveals. But a woman aged 32 spends £250 per month.
"Our research shows that British women aged 32 are likely to be more concerned about their appearance than at any other time during their life," said BlanX spokesperson Louise Marks.
"It is that time when they are most likely to be earning a decent salary, on the look-out for a partner and when their look is most important to them both career-wise and socially."
