The 2015 Clynol Protégé Team has been named, with six young hairdressers now going on to represent the brand and enjoy a year of education.
Young stylists from Clynol salons across the country were selected after submitting a short personal pitch and summary of their creative work. The shortlisted candidates were then tasked with a face-to-face interview and presentations, where they had one hour to cut and style a model. In the final stage, finalists presented their work to a judging panel in a three-minute slot, showing good technical knowledge and presentation skills.
The applicants were judged by Ross Taylor, creative director at Falltricks Hair & Beauty, Tim Scott-Wright from The Hair Surgery and
HJ's British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame member and Hensmans director Gemma Hensman.
Team mentor Jamie Farrar says: "I am so happy with the chosen team. Everyone has the right assets to succeed and there's a great dynamic of skills and personalities. Thanks to the judges we have managed to find a fantastic team and I cannot wait to work with them and experience this year alongside them."
