What is your biggest achievement?
Opening my own salon.

A rock star, footballer or restaurateur

Fun, happy, dedicated and relaxed

Seeing young people achieve their goal and developing their own style.
Who is your most famous client past or present?

Last time you were lost for words?
I had my son's parents evening last week and I was lost for words then. He has worked so hard and the results have been very impressive.
Which one product couldn't you live without?
TIGI's Fashionista adds incredible volume to flat hair.
Is there anything about the industry that makes you mad?
I get frustrated when you invest resources in your team, only to have them leave for a job elsewhere.
What's the biggest gaffe you've made in your career?
I've learnt the hard way no to waste money on flash cards and boats, when I should have been investing in property.
What's the best career advice you've ever been given?
Treat everyone equally, in a fashion you would like to be treated. And have patience.
Last time you were star-struck?
I am really into eating well and recently saw Jamie Oliver in a local restaurant. I think what he is doing for the nation is great, educating people on the benefits of eating the right food.
Time you were most proud to be in hairdressing?
Whenever I attend HABB events I am always proud of the generosity and camaraderie.
What celebrity haircut do you wish had never caught on?
The Mullet - mostly because I had one myself when I was 19.
What haircut would you love to make a comeback and how would you re-invent it for the noughties?
The Isadora, but I would add lots more texture to the style to give it a contemporary feel.

Messy bed head hair.
