In a Salon International exclusive, Olaplex brought Guy Tang from West Hollywood to London for the first time ever.
Olaplex launched in 2014 via word of mouth, starting with a few celebrity hairdressers. Through word of mouth the product has grown to be in 250,000 salons worldwide.
Guy Tang says 'when I use Olaplex - I know it works because I see huge results'.
Guy Tang has a huge following through social media and first used Olaplex on Youtube star, Michelle Phan, for her Vogue magazine cover shoot.
Guy knew this was a miracle product and begged for Olaplex to be stocked in salon, hounding the manufacturers. With Guy Tang and Michelle Phan having a combined Instagram following of over two million, over 500,000 images were tagged with the hashtag Olaplex on social media, quckly leading to Olaplaex taking the hairdressing world by storm.
This weekend has seen the Olaplex stand being mobbed by Guy Tang's #hairbesties, queuing up to see his balayage demos and get a selfie with the social media superstar!
