Put some oomph into your salon this customer loyalty month

I truly believe customers are your most precious assets, and looking after them means keeping them for longer. 

Now if any of the following four areas keep you up at night...read on

• Profit
• Clients
• Image
• Staff

But let’s see the link...Every salon wants to boost its profit and you can’t do that without clients through the door. Clients want to go to a salon with a fab image and reputation, but who sells that image? Your staff... so get them motivated and excited about a loyalty programme!

April is International Customer Loyalty month so I think this is the perfect opportunity to boost your customer loyalty activity and get your clients excited!

So what do your clients want? We work across the hair and beauty industry and know who your clients are, what they do, what they like and more importantly...what get’s them into salon!

I could spend all day giving you facts and figures on the research we have carried out, but my main message is simple. 93% of your clients (or potential ones!) said they’d be more likely to spend more with a brand if it had a GREAT loyalty programme.

But what makes a loyalty programme great? We’ve narrowed it down to four main things:

• Exclusivity – clients want to feel special!
• Surprise – everyone loves a surprise!
• Immediate Value – get rewarding straight away, they’ll be back in no time
• Personalisation – it makes them feel even more special

Be prepared though and don’t expect miracles straight away. Stick with it and you WILL see results! If you are thorough and take an adaptive approach in the first six months, you’ll learn what your clients love, and soon see the appointment book filling up, your staff will feel motivated by the buzz of positivity and you’ll have a salon full of loyal clients.

And what will loyal clients do? Tell their friends – so reward them for this! Word of mouth advertising is always the best (and free!) way to attract new clients, and is fab for improving your image.

So why don’t you use April as the month to kick start your customer loyalty strategy and give your clients what they want 
