The team from Ken Picton Salon in Cardiff rounded off a successful year with their annual in-house awards ceremony.
The last twelve months have seen Ken inducted into
HJ's British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame for three wins in the Wales and Southwest category; an accolade which was picked up by his successors at the salon
Dafydd Rhys Thomas and Rachelle Simmonds for 2013.
Joining Ken to hand out awards at the bash were salon managers Natalie Hinton and Cath Oakley with the evening's most special prize awarded to Sally Edwards, who retired after 20 years.
Also awarded were Nicole White, who was voted Assistant of the Year; and Ashley Bryn Jones, who received the Christmas Cracker Award for his hard work and unsung dedication.
"I was so shocked when Ken announced that I was the Christmas Cracker having only been with the salon a short time," he said. "It was a really proud moment and I’m really looking forward to what 2014 has to offer."
Rachelle Simmonds was named Employee of the Year and commented: "I was completely taken aback when Ken called my name – what a great year 2013 has been, winning the BHA in November and now being the employee of the year; to be recognised and rewarded for my work is fantastic!"
