“John Vial is a globally renowned stylist whose vision, technique and creative flair assures he is constantly in demand from designers, celebrities, magazines and international beauty brands.
John has earned his status and leading reputation. He is an industry pacesetter who continues to push creative boundaries - bursting with ideas and creativity. He is the resident Hair Stylist on TV Series 10 Years Younger, which is now showing globally. He is of course celebrity stylist of choice to a host of leading names from the Spice Girls to Bjork, from Zaha Hadid to Helena Christensen.
Johns editorial work has spanned the leading magazines for the past three decades, and his work has graced the covers of all the leading magazines, Vogue, Vanity Fair, 10 Magazine, Harrods the list goes on.


John is known for his creative vision and flair; he is committed to inspiring hairdressers and supporting the industry at every level. When John is not busy with his hands-on work, he lectures at the University of Arts, and has collaborated with lead designers and photographers including Nick Knight, David Bailey, Annie Leibovitz, and Tim Walker. His professional status, industry experience combined with a truly great sense of humour and gracious humility which truly sets him out from the rest.

Johns is genuinely a true craftsman; he began his hairdressing career within the Vidal Sassoon organization in the early 1990’s. He quickly fast tracked the business and was promoted to Creative Director and formed part of a pioneering team that instigated the first ever sponsorship of London and New York Fashion Weeks. After 12 years at Sassoon, working directly with Vidal himself, John joined forces with Belle Cannan and Josh Wood to launch Real Hair in London, where collectively they developed one of the most prestigious clienteles and formed some of the world's international influencers from Fashion, Film, Art, and Design.


John was appointed as Creative Director at PZ Cussons on the newly acquired FUDGE and Charles Worthington Haircare brands. As Creative Director of FUDGE John’s technical ability and experimental flair was showcased on global catwalks and backstage at prestigious awards. John also launched a brand ‘Lookbook’ project with photographer Rankin and launched a pop-up salon at the Zaha Hadid Gallery. In addition, John also became a regular columnist for Sunday Times Style Magazine.


In 2016 John launched and Co-founded Salon Sloane – a new concept and destination boutique hair salon - with Belle Cannan, a creative hot house and collaboration of world-leading hair talent located in London's prestigious Sloane Square, the heart of Chelsea.


In 2017 he joined forces with Revlon Professional as a the first 'Global Influencer' where he  championed the group's portfolio of Haircare products ranging from Revlon Professional, to men's brand American Crew. Recently John has started collaborating with Pinewood studios, teaching budding hair and make up artists. No stranger to lecturing, he recently shared his ted talk at BBC sharing his vision for sustainability within the beauty arena.


His latest venture, identifying new up-and-coming brands, sitting on the council for “ cool brands”.
