Are you thinking about entering Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year at HJ's British Hairdressing Awards 2024? Here's what you need to know before you start to plan your entry.
- Images entered in this category cannot be entered in any other category.
- You do not need to supply ‘before’ shots in this category, however you must supply pre-production shots.
- The use of wigs, extensions, hairpieces or strands is permitted in all photographs.
- Images should demonstrate progressive styling with an emphasis on innovation and technique.
How to Enter
1: Decide which category, or categories, you want to enter
2: Read the general entry guidelines for entry from the downloadable form here
3: Read the entry guidelines for your specific category, or categories
4: Give your photographer a copy of the photographer’s guidelines, ahead of your photoshoot to sign.
5. Enter through the Evessio page, submitting your details and uploading your images and videos (We will need you to submit; 4 final images, 4 pre-production/ un-retouched images, image of model pre hair and make up, 4 videos of your final image (filming on your phone is fine).
6. Send your physical images, crib sheet and photographers declaration to Lizzi Brady, British Hairdressing Awards, Hairdressers Journal International, M Squared Media, Allington House, 25 High Street, Wimbledon, SW19 5DX
