Online booking has transformed the way Rainbow Room International George Square, Glasgow does business, say directors Yasmin McMail and Dylan Brittain. Here are four ways it has helped:
1. Making Appointments
The Rainbow Room International online booking system has made the salon accessible to clients 24/7. Even when the salon is closed clients can book appointments at any of our 12 salons. The online booking system is convenient for clients the no longer have to wait on hold to book appointments when the salon is busy and can book appointments as and when they are at a computer and it takes no time at all. More than 50% of our bookings come from our online booking system.
2. Managing Appointments
Since our online booking system has been in place, the number of last minute cancellations have plummeted. This is due to requesting a deposit for each booking when it is made online. They can also manage their appointment when the salon is closed which is something we would not be able to facilitate to without the online booking system when our salons are closed.
3. Discounts
When clients book online with Rainbow Room International we offer clients a discount. This encourages clients to use the online booking system as they don’t receive this discount if they book in the salon or over the phone. It allows us to capture clients data and build up a strong database of client profiles.
4. Time Management
Front of House staff can now spend more time on interacting with clients when they are arriving or exiting the salon and focus on other tasks such as marketing and merchandising as 50% of our bookings are now made online.
