With over 40 years in the industry, Gavin, now a company director, has spent the past 25 years as part of the senior management team at Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa, the UK’s largest single independent hair and beauty salon. Based in the heart of London's Chelsea, the 5,000 sq ft salon welcomes more than 1,500 clients each week. Gavin oversees all aspects of operations, from turnover to team development, leading a staff of 95, many of whom began their careers within the salon. His focus is on combining technical excellence with a personal, welcoming approach, ensuring both clients and staff feel valued. This balance of performance, consistency, and care has helped shape the salon’s reputation for more than three decades. Looking ahead, with a new 10-year lease and extensive refurbishment underway, Gavin remains committed to nurturing future generations in the industry and sharing the knowledge built from a lifetime of hands-on experience.
