The Rush Hair & Beauty team are busy preparing for the best Rush Live there has ever been and we can't wait to see what the former British Hairdressing Awards Artistic Team of the Year will be being to the stage at Salon International 2019.
As well as providing tutorials, shows and trend-forecasting for the year ahead the show also gives back in a truly meaningful way. The salon group teams up with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) each year to give back a percentage of the ticket sales to the children's charity.
So far the event has raised over £135,000 for GOSH. The hospital treats tens of thousands of seriously ill young people from around the UK every year, many of whom have been referred to GOSH only after their condition has become so critical that their local hospital is no longer able to look after them.
“We’re so grateful to Rush for their continued generosity and support. The money raised will help to make a difference to seriously ill children from across the UK,” said Laura Savory, Head of Community Events at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
Some of the most complex and least understood conditions in modern medicine are researched and treated at the hospital, with the research shared all over the world to make sure children everywhere are given the best possible chance of a healthy childhood.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity raises funds to help enable GOSH to:
- Rebuild and refurbish outdated infrastructure;
- Lead ground-breaking research into the development of new treatments;
- Purchase the most up-to-date specialist equipment;
- Provide accommodation and other support services for children and their families
