Cos Sakkas and the TONI&GUY Team created Bardot-inspired beehives for the Paul Costelloe Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
The show: Paul Costelloe Spring/Summer 2015
The hair team: Cos Sakkas for TONI&GUY
The look: An unstructured beehive, wrapped with a bow.
The inspiration: Vintage St Tropez, Brigitte Bardot, feminine style but with an imperfect modern update
The key product: label.m Volume Mousse
Get the Look
1. Prep hair with two layers of label.m Volume Mousse, blow-drying in each time to create a really coarse, malleable texture.
2. Section the hair from ear to ear across the nape. Put the bottom section in a bun tight to the head to act as an anchor for the rest of the hair.
3. Sprinkle label.m Resurrection Dust throughout the top section to make it gritty then backcomb thoroughly from root to tip to create massive volume.
4. Using a label.m Grooming Brush, bring both sides of the hair back, form into a roll, and pin on to the bun anchor that you created earlier.
5. Style the remaining front section of hair into a side parting, bringing all the hair over to the left.
6. Brush this back and pin in to the anchor.
7. Wrap the bow around the models head and tie on the top. Pull pieces of the beehive shape down to cover the sides of the ribbon slightly.
