Project X recently had their first shoot, with Bruno Marc as a mentor while team leader Kai Wan stepped behind the camera to shoot their debut collection.
Bruno attended the shoot to art direct and help the team work through their looks and develop a cohesive collection of images. The shoot combines London Fashion Week inspired trends with more technical detailing, highlighting some of Project X’s developed skills.
“The whole day was awesome and it was incredibly valuable to learn how to change hair up while on set to gain the best image,” says Janene Hawkins from Heavenly Hairstyling. “I also loved learning about art direction from Bruno, who really taught us how to move the model to capture the best hair for the image.”
The hairstyles include the use of hairpieces and wefts, as well as undo styling from their session with Robert Mascaive. In addition, the collection offers more consumer-friendly finishing techniques learned from time spend with HAIRDOTCOM.
“I really felt like the team really bonded just being together on set. The final images are amazing, and they truly look like a collection – we can’t wait to share them,” shares Phillippa Lee from Yaxley Hair & Beauty.
“Bruno taught us a lot,” she continues, “And I walked away feeling confident enough to be able to do my own shoot in the future. It's something which I’m absolutely working towards with my new-found skills and confidence.”
