Stylists’ Favourite Award
The United Kingdom had a clean sweep in this year’s Stylists’ Favourite Award with Richard Munslow from TONI&GUY Hemel Hempstead (Partner category), Lauren Roma Hanlon from Slunks (Creative category), together with Courtney Cairns from Headromance (New Talent category) all winning an award. The Goldwell Stylists’ Favourite Awards are linked to the Color Zoom Challenge. The unique feature about these awards is that anyone, anywhere in the world can participate via an online platform and is able to choose their favourite entry in each category, from all of the national gold winners.
Academy and Community Area
John Moroney vice president global creative and communication Kao Salon Division, opened the 2019 Global Zoom event. The Welcome Session started with the announcement of Goldwell’s annual Style Statement for 2020: HAIR I COLOR I STYLE. Directly after the Welcome Session, the Community Area opened its doors and the following Academy Sessions started: Elumen. Color Different – The Goldwell Elumenators - Jacky Tan from Singapore, Kylie Bussing from USA, Luca Lauko from Czech and Salome Dewet from South Africa presented the newly re- launched Elumen and brand new Elumen Play. These four young artists showed the future of creativity in colour to guests. HAIR I COLOUR I STYLE 2020 - Goldwell’s top international artists gave insights into the new fashion directions for Color & Style in these exciting trend-driven segments. KMS Stylecolor Presentation - Daniel Bruns, KMS global style council member, delighted the audience with the latest urban fashion looks for KMS featuring Stylecolor. Goldwell Master Stylist Team - The Goldwell Master Stylist Team presented exciting new creative shapes and colour concepts to guests, based on the principles of the Master Stylist Program. Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge - During the impressive Academy Sessions, the Color Zoom Challenge also took place with hairdressers participating from all over the world in three different categories - Partner, Creative & New Talent. It was here that they demonstrated their creativity and interpretation of the current Goldwell Color Zoom Collection.The Goldwell Global Zoom 2019 Gala Show and the Global Winners
The Gala Show was one of the highlights of the Goldwell Global Zoom 2019 event in Vienna. Over 3,000 hairdressers were excited to discover the new Goldwell Couture Collection 2020: INTREPID, a unique collection, which is fearless, bold and daring. The creative team introduced the collection, which includes geometric shapes and gender-neutral colour. Three global winners were announced Gala Show. All three demonstrated astounding hairdressing skills in the Color Zoom competition:- J Lim from Singapore in the New Talent category – for young, creative colourists with less than five years of professional experience.
- Irakli Sardalishvili from Russia in the Creative category – for colour creations done by stylists with more than five years’ experience.
- Yuujin Ho from Singapore in the Partner category – for colour creations designed by stylists who have already worked for Goldwell in the last two years at shows or at seminars.

Artist Sessions - Monday
The Artist Sessions that were held on Monday gave guests from all over the world the opportunity to experience excellent mastery of their craft. Hare & Bone's Sam Burnett and Jamie Benny presented the world premiere of their latest collection called Tainted Quartz. M&P presented their new collection Reversible, which is inspired by the incredible work of Violet Chachki and her last fall collection. The name Reversible refers to both the reversible aspect of the collection’s outfits and Drags’ astonishing transformations. It combines a touch of late 1970’s Studio 54 extravaganza, gold and sequin sparkle, alongside the shine of Goldwell colours to complete the looks.
The Farewell Party?
The Farewell Party on Monday evening took place in the incredible Hofburg Palace in the heart of Vienna and this was the crowning finale of Global Zoom 2019. John Moroney, vice president global creative and communication Kao Salon Division commented: “This year we had two days full of creativity, inspiration and great artist sessions. Our three new gold winners have shown outstanding hairdressing skills. We are looking forward to next year - in 2020 we will inspire our stylists with a new event, a new challenge and a new Goldwell Couture Collection in a new city. We are excited to invite our stylists to the all-new Kao Salon Global Experience in Amsterdam.”
