F&m hairdressing announced as winners of which regional award? Celebrations are in full swing as Brian MacMillan and Kevil Paul Finnel, founders of F&M Hairdressing, have been unveiled as the very first recipients of the Kevin Paul Finnell Memorial Award at the BID All About Barrhead Awards. A truly fitting tribute to their co-founder who passed suddenly earlier this year. Known for their incredible skill, passion for hairdressing and commitment to their clients and local community, the team from F&M hairdressing were announced as winners of this prestigious new award, which will now become part of the awards which are held annually. As the winners were being announced, the Board announced they would be introducing a new award, The Kevin Paul Finnell Memorial Award, a fitting tribute to one of the most loved and successful individuals to have graced the region. The team were absolutely overcome with emotion, and to a standing ovation, both Brian and Kevin were announced as the very first recipients – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The night itself was a well-earned celebration for the businesses of Barrhead and the surrounding area. The chance to network and catch up with friends and fellow business owners celebrates the hard work and achievements of the last year. The BID All About Barrhead Awards was an event Kevin loved attending and being a part of, and the team certainly did him proud. BID chair, Paul Santi, said “The Barrhead community has always been passionate about their hometown, and we want to ensure that passion, enthusiasm and hard work is recognized.” F&M Hairdressing co-founder and Kevin’s partner, Brian MacMillan commented: "To acknowledge the work Kevin and I have done for the community behind the scenes, and to be unveiled as the first recipients is an incredible honour. I cannot express my gratitude and thanks enough to the BID Board for this amazing tribute to Kevin. It will take pride of place in our salon forevermore.” To hear more from F&M Hairdressing, HJ spoke to Brian MacMillan to find out his opinion on this controversial question...
