Around the world different countries have reopened the doors of the hairdressing industry as the coronavirus lockdown restrictions ease. As the UK looks to reopen Phorest surveyed salon owners on their biggest concern on reopening.
While some hairdressers are raring to get back into work, others are more concerned about the logistics of the new normal.
The survey found that the number one concern of salon owners about reopening is their staff’s safety (35%). With the next biggest concern for 30% of salon owners being the potential gap between the revenue their salon generates versus the overheads they have to pay.
Communication with clients was the least of the concerns, with only 6% saying this was their biggest worry - many salon owners have been taking to social media and e-marketing to keep their clients up to date with any changes with appointments and bookings.
