Alternative hair show 2021: everything you need to know

The Alternative Hair Show 2021 will be held  virtually on the 9 and 10 October 2021 and will be live-streamed to a global audience. The two-day ‘Illuminare’ Alternative Hair Show will be the second time the event has been live-streamed to a global audience, sharing the skills of some of the best artistic hairdressers in the world, all while raising funds for The Alternative Hair Charitable Foundation: Fighting Leukaemia.

Saturday 9 October

The International Visionary Award Tune in from 7pm to see the finals of The International Visionary Award, created by Alternative Hair President, Anthony Mascolo, to recognise and promote new and unknown talent, with a large number of entries from every corner of the globe. This year, Anthony and Alternative Hair Show founder Tony Rizzo are taking the award one step further with a stand-alone show, The New Visionaries. The New Visionaries will showcase the work of past winners and finalists of The Visionary Award in what Tony and Anthony believe will be an exciting and important move to present the work of hairdressers less well known to the international audience. “This is the right time to take The International Visionary Award to the next level and add another aspect to the Alternative Hair Show so we are truly excited to now encompass The New Visionaries,” said Tony. See the full agenda below. Sunday 10 October The second day of the Alternative Hair Show 2021 will commence at 4pm, where the winners of The International Visionary Award will be announced. The second day will also see the showcase of the Illuminare show. Expect a number of presentations from some of the biggest names in hairdressing from around the world. See the full programme below.
