Denman becomes proud sponsor of the gb hair team

Denman Professional will be the tool of choice for the GB Hair Team who will be competing at the OMC World Hairdressing Championships in 2023 – for the first time in over a decade. Adam Gregory, Chief Executive and Head of Education and Training for the OMC Great British Hairdressing Team, will be leading the charge for the UK’s latest bid for domination at the OMC World Hairdressing Championships that take place in Paris on 9-11 September, 2023. Kevin McNamee, CEO of Denman International, says: “As a very British brand that designs and manufactures tools right here in the UK, we are so proud to be sponsoring the GB Hair Team. Each of these professionals already has busy working lives but commit to pouring even more of their passion and energy into organising, training and competing at the highest level of their craft. “Denman is playing its part by offering quality professional tools to support the trainers and competitors and it is our incredible privilege to do so. We wish them all the best of luck as they carry the flag for Great British Hairdressing on to the world stage.” Adam has created a network of ‘Centres of Excellence’ in colleges around the UK to build a legacy plan for the future of the GB Hair Team through training and the creation of the Junior GB Team. The UK regional heats for both Junior and Senior teams will take place in these Centres of Excellence in April and May of 2023, with the National Great British Hairdressing Championships being held at Central Hall in Southampton on Saturday 27 and 29 May 2023. Four squads of 24 will then be selected - Junior Ladies and Junior Mens for the Under 23’s   and Senior Ladies and Senior Mens for those over 23. After an intense period of training, 12 hair professionals from each category will be selected to form the final GB Hair Team to compete at the OMC World Hairdressing Championships in September 2023. Each trainer and competitor will receive comprehensive tool kits and bespoke GB Hair Team branded Original Stylers. Adam says: “It’s wonderful to have an iconic brand like Denman tools supporting the Great British Hairdressing Team with our new ‘Centres of Excellence’ training programme within colleges across the UK.
