The Joshua Galvin Academy recently rewarded its learners in a ceremony at the Wella World Studio with guest of honour celebrity hairdresser Richard Ward.
Just over 100 learners received certificates in NVQ hairdressing level 2 and 3 and level 2 barbering.
The learners were presented with their certificates by Richard Ward who opened the event by telling learners that passion, hard work and commitment were the key to enjoying success in their careers and how these attributes had enabled him to get where he is today.
Martin Kolton, chairman of Joshua Galvin Academy, told a packed audience of learners, family, friends and hair industry associates: “The success we have enjoyed this year is extremely rewarding and testament to the incredible hard work and dedication of our tutors.”
Three special awards were also handed out on the night acknowledging the success of learners who had displayed outstanding commitment to their training. The awards went to Rhyannon Wagg, a further education learner; Edina Druzanovic, a Level 3 learner and Prasanthika Perera, an Apprentice learner.
