The team from Akito Scissors is looking for hairdressers to help with its Haircuts4homelessuk initiative in Leeds.
The scheme officially launched on 23 January at the St. George’s Crypt. Twenty-one homeless people had their hair cut on the day. The charity is now calling for more local hairdressers to donate a couple of hours every four to six weeks to offer haircuts to the homeless of Leeds.
Haircuts4Homeless UK is a charity community group set up by hairdresser Stewart Roberts. “It may be just a haircut, but it's the kindness shown that makes a homeless person know that people really care.” says Stewart.
