Taylor Swift's 'Bejeweled' Hair Inspo for Party Season

Published 28th Oct 2022 by Josie Jackson

If you've turned the radio on recently, you might be aware that Taylor Swift has just released her tenth studio album, Midnights. Sharing the news on Instagram, the singer explained that the album is inspired by "the stories of 13 sleepless nights". Indeed, many of Taylor's songs often follow the arc of a story, as do her music videos.

The first video from the new album, of the track 'Bejeweled', is no exception, following a fairytale reminiscent of Cinderella. Throughout the video Taylor wears multiple looks, changing her hair up for each one - and in doing so, provides some great inspiration for party season.

Look One - Halo Braid

The opening look for the music video showcases Taylor as a 'tired, tacky wench' - her words. Her hair is styled into a boho style halo braid, which works well with her signature fringe. It's a soft, effortless up-do which could be perfect for clients attending a laid-back holiday party.

Look Two - Slicked Back Mermaid Waves

In the music video Taylor transforms into a party ready look - complete with a sleek, slicked back centre parting and soft mermaid waves. Just like in the video, this is a great look to style with accessories, such as earrings or a statement necklace - making it the perfect style for clients with formal work parties, or a big festive night out.

Look Three - 50s Hollywood Wave

Taylor's third look, a 50s Hollywood wave, mirrors that of Dita von Teese (the 'Queen of Burlesque'), who also appears in the video. A versatile look that would work well for clients with long or short hair, this timeless look is a great go-to for clients that are looking to get a little glamorous during party season but are stuck for ideas.
