The oscars 2020 looks to recreate on your clients The Oscars 2020 will go down in history as naming South Korean film Parasite as the Best Picture of the Year and for being the first year Brad Pitt picked up his first award for Best Supporting Actor in the film Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. For your clients in the salon the Oscars 2020 will leave them inspired to recreate the looks seen on the red carpet so here is the lowdown on the looks that stole the show last night…

Lucy Boynton at the Oscars 2020

"Lucy Boynton’s look was one of my favourites from this year's Oscars. The star wore her short, chin length, chic bob in a relaxed, tousled style with all focus on her side parting. Accessories are incredibly on trend this season and are the perfect way to update any look and give it an instant red-carpet finish. Lucy accessorised her style with pearl hair pins placed down her side parting, taking this style from effortless to super glamorous. As always, Lucy’s blonde also looked perfect. The soft vanilla hue works perfectly against her complexion and looked healthy and full of shine." Suzie McGill, Owner of Rainbow Room International’s Uddingston Salon, Schwarzkopf UK Ambassador and International Artistic Director at Rainbow Room International “Accessories were prominent on the Oscars red carpet and Lucy Boynton showed that keeping it simple can have dynamic results. Her soft bob was gently pushed behind one ear, with the pearl in her earring mirrored by pearls on her middle parting. And with her babydoll eye make-up, the whole look was angelic but very much on trend.” Darcie Harvey, Brooks & Brooks, London

Margot Robbie at the Oscars 2020

The side parting adds that touch of glamour.” HJ’s British Hairdresser of the Year and Wella Professionals Technical Director Robert Eaton “Margot Robbie was the epitome of old Hollywood glamour and led the stars on the red carpet with her glamorous, soft and feminine waves. This is a really popular look with clients right now and can be worn for all occasions from proms, to a wedding and a night out with friends.” Jasmine Hunsley, Jasmine Hunsley Hair, Sutton, Surrey

Billie Eilish at the Oscars 2020

Natalie Portman at the Oscars 2020

https://www.instagram.com/p/B8YsojdBCtF Natalie Portman stepped out in an embellished gown which was complimented beautifully by her understated hairstyle. Her jaw length bob is super on trend for 2020 and the one length finish completes this face framing style. The subtle texture throughout the front of her hair shows off the caramel slices of colour too which add definition and dimension. Whilst this is a classic style, subtle tweaks such as avoiding layering and adding lighter pieces through the front give it an updated look for 2020. Simon Hill, Owner of SESH Hairdressing and Wella Guest Artist

Saorsie Ronan at the Oscars 2020

https://www.instagram.com/p/B8YsYothDKA "Saorsie’s look at this years Oscars exuded elegance and sophistication. Saorsie had her hair styled into a soft, low twisted bun, keeping all focus on her freshly cut fringe. Her new fringe worked perfectly with this look and was cut above her eyebrows, allowing her eyes to really pop and accentuating her cheekbones and face shape. Thin strands of hair were also left out at the front of Saorsie’s face to give the look an even softer finish and a sparkly butterfly hair clip was placed to the side of her hair to give a pretty finishing touch. Carly Price, Partner Stylist at Muse of London

Renée Zellweger at the Oscars 2020

https://www.instagram.com/p/B8YsTjhnTa6 Renée looked classy, elegant and most importantly comfortable within herself which is a gorgeous site to see. Her overall style was reflective of classic Hollywood glamour and the hair style she chose furthered this image as well. Wearing her hair tied up elongated her neck and worked perfectly with her one shouldered dress. Her hair was carefully tied into a traditional chignon which is a statement go to style for red carpet events. A few pieces of hair fell effortlessly round her face as she worked the cameras. The key for this look is achieving the right amount of texture in the chignon to ensure it doesn’t appear too ‘neat’ however also not too ‘undone’ for such a special occasion.” Krysia West, Owner of Perfectly Posh Hair Design and Aveda UK Colour Ambassador
