Last night the stars of British TV took the red carpet in the snow for the National Television Awards. Everyone brought their best looks to the central London event so it was hard to whittle down the stand out stars, so we asked some of our industry favourites.
Emily Atack – Chosen by Philip Bell, Partner, Ishoka Hair and Beauty

Emily looked absolutely beautiful at the NTA awards last night, opting for old Hollywood Glamour as her theme! Her beautiful blonde locks were style in a side parting, with lots of volume through the fringe, which was loosely waved to flow in with the rest of her hair.
To the right of hair, a small section was tightly pinned behind the hair, with the rest of the hair waved. To hold the style I would suggest the
Schwarzkopf Professional Silhouette Super Hold Hair Spray – lightly spray this over the hair to achieve a strong hold. I would also recommend
Schwarzkopf Professional BlondMe Shine Magnifying Spray to give that beautiful salon shine.
Emma Willis – Chosen by Lyndsey Ford, IdHAIR educator

Emma looked super cool and quirky at this years NTA’s, as she showed up sporting a bleached blonde hue in her signature slicked back quiff style. Paired with a caped black dress, Emma’s hair really stood out from the crowd on the red carpet.
Transforming her brunette locks into this super light blonde could have had her hair looking seriously damaged. However, Emma’s hair looked healthy and full of shine, showing that she possibly had her hair coloured with the help of a bond building hair system, to keep the hair looking and feeling in its best condition after the colouring process.
At IdHAIR, we have an incredible
Niophlex 3-step system designed to protect hair against chemical damage while adding strength deep inside the structure of the hair - perfect for clients who want to opt for a major hair colour transformation!
Samantha Faiers – Chosen by Michelle Griffin, Loxbox director

Sam looked absolutely beautiful at the NTA’s last night. Her whole look worked perfectly together and it was no surprise she has made the best dressed and best hair list! Sam has and is a big hair extensions user, and last night opted for a little more creative style than we usually see on her.
To work with the “v” neckline of the dress, she chose a half up half down style. The hair was pulled back into a higher ponytail at the crown, and both sections wrapped around to create a solid base and bow style- all secured with a few hidden bobby pins! The rest of the hair was loosely curled towards the end. It’s obvious that Sam takes incredible care of her extensions, as the shine and condition of the hair is absolutely spot on. Regular use of conditioning treatments along with a professional heat protection spray when using electrical styling tools is essential.
Helen Flanagan – Chosen by Jay Birmingham owner of Jay Birmingham Hair

Helen looked incredible at the 2019 NTA’s with a gorgeous lemon coloured floaty gown and subtle tan paired with my favourite classic, low bun. This hairstyle is so simple and elegant meaning that it works for a range of clients and hair types – always one of my go to looks for a red carpet or special occasion.
For Helen’s look it was important to make sure her hair looked super shiny and healthy so we used
Color WOW Pop and Lock Spray to add that mirror shine and give a stunning glossy finish to her hair. Take your time to brush the hair towards the nape of the neck and make sure to remove any bumps for this sleek style. Tie the hair into a ponytail and gently begin to twist into a bun shape until you are happy with the placement and then pin in place. Locking this in place is key as you want it to last all night so I used the
JOICO K-Pak Protective Hairspray to make sure this won’t move or fall out of place. Perfect occasion style that just oozes glamour.
Michelle Keegan – Chosen by Neil Barton, Goldwell ambassador
https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs8pcXKl5vh/
One of my favourite hair looks from this years NTA’s came from Michelle Keegan, who always looks stunning and incredibly classy. Her locks were parted into a middle parting and tucked behind her ears, lying on her back to create a glamorous, statement look.
To achieve this look I always ensure to blow-dry the hair straight, taking section by section and pointing the nozzle downwards to avoid the hair from frizz. Once you have finished blow-drying the hair, using hot irons around the hair taking section by section is key in order to create that super straight and smooth finish. Finally, finish the look off by spritzing some shine spray through the hair to give it mirror like shine.
Fleur East – Chosen by James Earnshaw

Fleur's look for the NTAS was a high textured knot with movement and curl. To soften the perimeter of the shape, there were pieces pulled out around the face, the look was made more glam by Kela Charms embellishing the back of the hair and hair was backcombed in areas to give an element of freeness and volume.
