L’oréal colour trophy grand final 2022: all the winners and highlights

Thousands of professional hair artists and colour enthusiasts came together to celebrate the UK’s most inspiring colour creatives at the 66th annual L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final.
Sunday 26th June 2022 saw the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 66th Grand Final take place at Battersea Evolution, London for an evening of excitement, inspiration, and the hairdressing elite. For the first time in two years, guests had the opportunity to join in-person, while also being streamed globally, allowing the evening’s shows and awards to be accessed by a virtual crowd all over the world. Guests were treated to an inspirational display of incredible artistry, elevated even further with jaw-dropping stage effects, explosive music and TV and Radio presenter Vick Hope, who brought incredible energy to the show and kept momentum going and guests engaged throughout the entire evening.
Bloggs Salons, Bristol took the number one spot, seizing the prestigious L’Oréal Colour Trophy Award - the industry’s longest running and most renowned hair award. Andrew Mulvenna, Belfast were awarded second place and Peg Hair, Brighton scooped third place.

Bloggs Salon, Bristol impressively swooped a further two awards, claiming the L’Oréal Colour Specialist Award and the Regional L’Oréal Colour Trophy Award in the Western region, making them the biggest winners of the night.
Other noteworthy wins included Tate Hair, Middlesbrough for the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Afro Award and Tribe, London for the L’Oréal Trophy STAR Award.

The event also hosted an impressive panel of judges, boasting a mix of icons within the industry and seasoned professionals. Judging the finalists for L’Oréal Colour Trophy awards was entrusted to Sally Brooks from Brooks & Brooks, Marcello Moccia from Room97, Karen Dodds from Cutting Room Creative, Errol Douglas MBE, Angel Montague-Sayers from Sally Montague, Dylan Bradshaw and Charlotte Mensah from The Hair Lounge. Judging the prestigious STAR Award was left in the hands of Nathan Walker from Trever Sorbie, Siobhan Jones from Blush & Blow, Jason Miller from Charlie Miller, Ken Picton and Luke Pluckrose from Saks.
The judges presented the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Regional Awards on the night. The winners for each region were:
- Scottish : Bryony Quate Hairdressing, Edinburgh
- Northern Irish: Andrew Mulvenna, Belfast
- North Western : Royston Blythe, Wolverhampton
- North Eastern : Contemporary Salons, Guisborough
- Western: Bloggs Salons, Bristol
- Eastern: The Secret Garden, Leicester
- London: Trevor Sorbie, Covent Garden, London
- Southern: Peg Hair, Brighton
