The L'Oreal Colour Trophy 2013 once again saw the worlds of hairdressing and fashion converge in a glittering kaleidoscope of talent. The now iconic white catwalk dominated the Great Room at London's prestigious Grosvenor House hotel, and the great and good of hairdressing surrounded it, ready to support their friends and colleagues and enjoy runway presentations by some of the industry's biggest names.
But the night belonged to the finalists and winners of the four categories of the L'Oreal Colour Trophy, as new and established talent was celebrated in style.
The first presentation of the night was for the seven Young Colourists. The sensational seven were:
Western region - Charlotte Prince, Aesthetics, Solihull
Southern region - Ryan Andrews, Rush Hair, Worthing
London region - Anna Maria Hynes, Toni & Guy
Eastern region - Megan Brooking, Millers, Bishop Stortford
North East region - Lauren Tudor, En Route, Wakefield
North West - Yasmin Esparon, The Boutique Salon & Spa, Cheshire
Scottish and Northern Ireland - Ashley Wallace, Copperfields Hairdressing and Beauty, Perth
Next up was the Mizani Afro Look Award, presented by celebrity ambassador Shingai Shoniwa,lead singer of the Noisettes . This prestigious accolade went to Toni & Guy, Chiswick.
The hotly-contested Men's Image Award saw some of the nation's finest men's stylists in the spotlight. Runner up was Royston Blythe, Wolverhampton, with top honours going to Saks, Doncaster.
Winners in each of the regional finals of the L'Oreal Colour Trophy were announced next. The sensational seven were:
Western - Ken Picton Salon, Cardiff
Southern - Nashwhite Hairdressing, Warwick
London - Brooks & Brooks
Eastern - Kennadys, Ingestone
North East - Headmasters and Co, Newcastle
North West - Christopher Bennett, Fleetwood
Scottish and Northern Ireland - Gallagher Horner Hair, Bishopbriggs
And in reverse order the winners were:
Third place - Gallagher Horner Hair, Bishop Briggs
Second place - Toni & Guy, Regent Street
First place - Brooks & Brooks
As the team and stunning model from Brooks & Brooks returned to the catwalk to collect the coveted trophy, they were buoyed by a standing ovation - marking the end of the awards and the start of the after-show party.
