London Fashion Week might not attract the Hollywood A-list like the New York shows, but it does receive its own fair share of fashionable types. As the week of shows got started yesterday, it was down to Britain's very own grand dame of fashion Vivienne Westwood to kick things off in style.
The dame was accompanied by supermodel extraordinaire Lily Cole at a party to launch her jewellery range. While Viv stuck to her trademark orange hair, Lily looked sensational with her new brunette lengthy locks.

Fresh from New York Fashion Week, style guru (and my personal fashion icon) Olivia Palermo bought some Upper East side glamour to the party. Rather than her usual swishy long locks, Olivia channelled Brit cool with a top knot.

Beth Ditto looked fabulous in a sparkling draped number, accessorised with a super short fringe and long slick black lengths - very Cleopatra.

X Factor star turned fashionista Diana Vickers also rocked up in a stunning skirt (and not so stunning top), with her hair in a large, loose, flat bun.

Super stylish TV chef Gizzi Erskine stuck to her trademark 60s chic in a pastel pink pea coat to match her usual beehive and choppy fringe.

The undoubted star of the party was Jessie J, who performed a storming set and looked fabulous to boot. Her trademark polished black bob was accessorised with a metallic headpiece, for a quirky look that suggests a little bit of Lady Gaga influence.
